Dustin Gavin is a trainer, presenter, professor, and researcher focusing on positive psychology in the workplace and leadership development for new and emerging leaders. His personal mission is to align the needs of an organization and the needs of its employees in a way that allows them to work together towards individual fulfillment and organizational success.
After receiving his Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, he began his career in training and leadership coaching at a consulting firm that distributed and implemented workplace training in communication. Discovering his enjoyment of the classroom setting through training, he began teaching business classes for graduate students at the Illinois Institute of Technology - Stuart School of Business, psychology and sociology classes for undergraduate students at DeVry University, and statistics courses at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Dustin is currently working on his PhD in Business Psychology and has completed everything but his longitudinal-training dissertation in which he is creating the new field of "Positive Goal Progression". Before coming to Signal-Fire Solutions, Dustin worked as a research consultant for the American Academy of Pediatrics, Director of Research, OD & Operations at Michael Quinlan, inc. and as the Director of the Institute for Organizational Psychology, the consulting firm and leadership institute of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
